"Why would I want to do that?"  I hear that phrase all the time.  Well, I’m always up for a challenge which makes life interesting.  Why would I want to continue to do the same things day in and day out –UGH.  I’d be pulling my hair out from boredom.

The Job of All Trades

I’ve been working under the title Administrative Assistant for about 2 years now, but I find that explaining what I do to be the biggest challenge.  It seems just as difficult for everyone else to understand it.  It finally hit me when a friend of mine recently said, “I know you’re an admin, but I still have no idea what it is that you do.”

Executives, when was the last time you took a walk around the office and spoke to your employees?  Some do and some don't.  From my work history, I have experienced both, and I prefer a leader who will take the time to ask if I have what I need to get the job done.  A leader is someone who is perceived as being concerned with all parts of the business and this includes employees.
